The 3 C’s to handle stress

Life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% of how you respond to it. If you respond well the stress is mitigated else stress causes psychosomatic diseases. Diseases of the mind results in diseases of the body.

Health is wealth is an old adage and is true. The experiences we gather in this lifetime are through this body of ours aided by the mind that choses what we do and how we react or respond.

Our health problems arise because of many reasons - old age, hormonal imbalance, depression/ negativity, organ malfunction and so on. This could be set right on many occasions by medication, meditation and lifestyle changes.

The way we respond to Stress happens to be the prime reason that accennuates our body coping mechanism - either getting well or not. How we deal with stress determines how well we do in life.

Life always throws challenges and the way we respond determines who is incharge of our lives - ourselves or the situations !

We can't change the situation but we can control the responses. We can become a "Hardy personality" by inculcating three parameters - 3 C's - Commitment, Control and Change in our lives.

This way we can respond to stress through which many of us get different types of illnesses.

The 3 C's

  1. By being "Committed" to what we do - Committed to self, work, family and all the important values.
  2. By being "in Control" over one's life - by directing our intellect to guide our minds.
  3. Change is the only constant. By adopting the ability see "Change" in one's life as a challenge, not as a threat.

By adopting these three C's - Commitment, Control and Change one could become "Psychologically Hardy" and thwart the stress to a large extent. Stress happens to be the major factor in modern day illnesses.

Take Charge of your life by controlling the 3 C's. One would be able to handle "Stress" very well.

All the best
