Lessons from the jungle
A pack of African Wild Dogs came across a couple of lion cubs playing with one another. The lioness was at the background watching it's cubs play.
The Wild dogs thought that it was an easy target to kill the cubs but they also had to take into consideration the cubs mother which was a silent witness to what was happening.
The pack of dogs were deliberating their next move. One wrong move and that would mark the end of their lives. They knew the strength of the lioness.
The lioness stood there in stoic position. Peaceful, powerful, alert and ready to take on the dogs if they made any careless move. The wild dogs were aware of that.
After a while the pack of Wild dogs thought it fit to disperse and then moved away.
In the same way there are many times when one would be confronted by an aggressor. They might threaten, they might use bad language, they might even 'try' to injure you.
If one would maintain their calmness and composure during a provocative situation for a little while it would alleviate us from this bad situation, which would eventually lead to a confrontation.
Of course, unless the situation goes out of hand and one could take other's help.
Silence and Stillness are powerful equipment and makes people guessing what we are upto.
Best wishes
