The Gift of Mortality

Death is very likely the single best invention of life, said Steve Jobs.

Death & taxes are inevitable !!

In Hindu Dharma it is said that "Life is eternal." We just change our bodies.

Dr Brian Weiss write a book titled, "Same Soul, Many Bodies."

"Death gives life its meaning and value. Without mortality, relationships would lose significance and love would lose its depth. Embracing death's role in life allows us to cherish every moment and live with purpose."

Reflect on these stories:

A king sought the secret to immortality from a wise sage. The sage directed him to a lake, saying, "Drink from this lake, and you shall live forever."

As the king approached the lake, he heard a faint cry. He found a frail, elderly man suffering in agony.

The man shared his tale: "I drank from this lake and became immortal. But as I grew old, my son cast me aside. I've lain here for fifty years, uncared for. My son has passed, and his children are now elderly. I've given up on life, yet I'm cursed to endure."

The king realized that immortality without youth would be a burden.

He returned to the sage, seeking a way to gain both immortality and youth.

The sage sent him to a tree with yellow fruits, promising that eating one would grant his wish.

As the king reached for a fruit, he heard a heated argument.

Four men, each centuries old, were fighting over property. Their endless disputes had driven the villagers to expel them.

The king returned to the sage, enlightened.

The sage said, "Death gives life its meaning. Without it, love and relationships would lose value."

He added, "Live each day with joy, and change yourself to change the world."

The sage's wisdom highlights the beauty of living in the present.

When we infuse our daily activities with devotion, they become sacred.

Live wisely, live well, and cherish every moment.
